NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING TRAINING AND PERSONNEL QUALIFICATION<\/h2>
\u00a0<\/div>
A person holding a Level 1 certificate can perform the tasks described below;<\/strong><\/h5>
\u00a0<\/div>
  • Installs the equipment,<\/li>
  • Performs examinations,<\/li>
  • Records and classifies results according to written criteria,<\/li>
  • Reports the results.<\/li>
  • A Level 1 certified individual is not responsible for selecting the inspection method and technique to be used or for interpreting and evaluating the inspection results.<\/li><\/ul>
    A person holding a Level 2 certificate can perform the tasks described below;<\/strong><\/h5>
    \u00a0<\/div>
    • Selects the TM technique for the inspection method to be used,<\/li>
    • Defines the limitations in the application of the examination method,<\/li>
    • TM converts standards and specifications into TM instructions,<\/li>
    • Installs the equipment and verifies its settings,<\/li>
    • Performs and supervises the examination,<\/li>
    • Interprets and evaluates the results according to applicable standards, codes, or specifications.<\/li>
    • Prepares written TM instructions,<\/li>
    • Performs and supervises all tasks specified for Level 1,<\/li>
    • Guides Level 2 or lower personnel,<\/li>
    • Organizes and reports non-destructive testing results.<\/li><\/ul>
      A person holding a Level 3 certificate can perform the tasks described below;<\/strong>,<\/h5>
      \u00a0<\/div>
      • Must be able to guide personnel below Level 3.<\/li>
      • It bears full responsibility for an examination facility or testing center and its personnel.<\/li>
      • Prepares and validates TM instructions and procedures,<\/li>
      • Interprets standards, specifications, and codes.<\/li>
      • Defines the specific examination method, procedure, and TM instructions to be used,<\/li>
      • Performs and supervises all tasks specified for Level 1 and Level 2.<\/li>
      • Level 3 personnel must demonstrate that they possess the following:<\/li>
      • The results should be interpreted and evaluated according to current standards, codes, and specifications.<\/li>
      • The selection of the TM method, the development of the TM technique, and the establishment of acceptance criteria when other criteria are not available should be assisted by individuals with sufficient experience in materials, manufacturing, and product technology, and who possess general knowledge of other TM methods.<\/li>
      • Must be able to guide personnel below Level 3.<\/li><\/ul>
